Hello Jeff,
I have been reading your blog for a while, since I found about your DIY camera (it was probably 2006). One thing I miss are your old posts, after reading about the lomofied DP-1, I started reading your older posts and found plenty of stories and pictures I liked. Months ago I followed a religious ritual in a town in Taiwan and discovered (read: I was told) that most men appearing in the ceremony were gangsters; I couldn't avoid thinking that something similar was described in one of your old posts (large gangsters in thongs entering a pond with statues on their shoulders). Those posts can still be retrieved at web.archive.org, but ... they belong here.

Are you considering re-adding those posts? I'd be happy to help (PHP/MySQL knowledge/free time aplenty).

My Mom & I bought a framed photograph at the Bazaar here at Yokota this morning---the one of your girlfriend at the Coke machine. Anyway, I was wondering if you take outdoor photographs of families. LOVE your work!

Thanks,

Hi Jeff,

Your site was one of my favorites back in the days when I have to work my old boring job. Would browse your site, read all your little advantures and check out the pretty pictures during down times. It's also one of the main drive that finally got me taking that backpacking trip to Japan last year (3 weeks trip cover Osaka and the surrounding areas, Tokyo and Hokkaido). It was really a great time and in part I have to thank you for it.

The main reason I'm posting right now is just to ask if there is still any of your older blogs still around that I can read (and the pictures too~). I've stopped visiting your site for a while now (personal matters, nothing to do with the quality of your site, which is just as good as I remeber) and kinda want to catch up on all the stuff I missed and what not. Plus I also want another friend who's interested in Japan to read them too.

Anyway, thank you for your great work and hope to read more of it again~
